Official press release.

Sounds amazing for only $10 a month! Definitely going to get it if not just for the PPVs. All the extra content is just a plus.

I'll get this but im still watching the ppvs from my tv feed. i mean once it hits smart tvs i can use that way too, but overall still.

They did a very good job with the actual presentation last night too, bringing in the likes of Austin and HBK was a very smart decision. A tenner a month seems crazy and like pointed out too good to be true but I think this could be a mammoth success for the WWE. Hate that we in the UK have to wait longer though!

That sounds really awesome, but I'm with Cam it's really frustrating that we can't get it over here until much later. I've lost interest in WWE but mainly because I have no way of watching it, this could be what rekindles my interest once again. I'm glad TNA extended their deal with Challenge so I can still get my wrestling fix :lol

This is probably the best thing they've done in years or...EVER.

The value and depth far exceed the price. There should be amazing numbers of sign ups.

Can't imagine the price will stay the same though - probable increase after two years I'd say. They have to - there's SO much content there! But maybe demand will help minimise cost issues.

I may just have to get this. Does anyone know if NEW ppvs will be shown. As in will it include Wrestlemania XXX the day it airs, or do I still have to fork out 60 bucks for it? Or will it be free the next day? Also if I don't catch Raw on Monday can i watch it on Tuesday?

I believe their current plan will be to show every new PPV live there, with the exception of WrestleMania's which will still be displayed on standard PPV practices because its special. However, WM XXX may be on there because it would be the first PPV since the launch of the network.

Says all 12 pay per views are available live. Raw/SD! is available on replay but due to their TV plan they can't air it live.

They explicitly said that the first PPV that you would be able to watch is Wrestlemania 30. Every PPV from then on will be live on the network.

It was something like $650 bucks a year for all PPV's, now it's down to $120 a year this way.. Aren't they going to lose money?

I imagine they think getting more subscribers would offset the cost. I read they think they want to get a million by the end of the year. Also, the PPV providers took probably half of the revenue from the PPV's anyway, so WWE didn't get it all.

I would think the same people that buy PPV's would be the same people that buy this. I mean, I say I might get it but in all likelihood probably won't.. even at 10 bucks a month, my wife would kill me.

Apparently under the old PPV system the WWE only got an average of 15 dollars (a little more for HD and less for standard) from each PPV buy so they won't lose much and could realistically increase enough subscribers to offset the difference entirely.

With the PPV system, they only got about 40% per PPV sold.

Apparently if they get 4 million subscribers (ie the number that watched RAW this week) they would have made their entire income that they made in 2012.

They are having a conference call this Tuesday to discuss the effect it will have on their business model.

Probably not, as it would probably gain them a lot of revenue in the long run as the more that sign up, the more they are getting on a subscription, plus it is at least a 6 month subscription, so there is an automatic $60 per person there.

Plus having the low subscription price would attract more people to sign up just for the sake of the PPV, as most people actually pay for a PPV and have a few people over and spread the cost, so it is possible that that could all stop. Plus with the network WWE have total control of their revenue and content as the TV companies may take a chunk of the revenue from WWE each and every time.

So, is this gonna be strictly an online thing or will it be on TV as well? It's just that I have never gotten into the whole streaming movies and TV shows thing online and prefer watching stuff on my TV. `Will Raw and SD continue to be on TV every week like normal?

Yeah Raw and SD will be on their current networks.

You can use game systems to stream it too, so you could stream from XBox 360, PS3, or PS4 and stream it right to your TV. Could plug your computer into your TV as well with an HDMI cable.
