Who should WWE sign next from the indies?

Postby Viazon » Jul 26, '14, 7:50 am

I think they should sign Ricochet.

I have seen him a fair few times in RPW and I saw him again last night at Dragon Gate UK show, which I am going to again tonight.

The guy is one of my favourites right now in the indies and I think he could be a decent and exciting high flyer in the WWE, somethign I feel they are kind of missing right now.

WWE already signed Ricochet but chose to let him go for whatever reason, he must not have impressed them down at the performance center.

For me though, Zack Sabre Jr - the guy is one of the best wrestlers in the world, has a good look for a smaller bloke and most importantly is British.

I had no idea they had already signed Ricochet. Hopefully they will look into him again.

I was under the impression that they never actually signed Ricochet only gave him a try out?

That's what I thought as well.

I think it's only a matter of time before he's under contract to them though. He's pretty damn good, has a good look too, he's pretty ripped and can fly with the best of them.

Then again there was that report of WWE not wanting anymore high fliers.

The Kentucky Gentleman, Chuck Taylor. Go back to his roots, making kids cry, it'd be a tremendous fit.

Adam Cole or The Young Bucks. If Japan counts I want the Motor City Machine Guns.

I have no interest in AJ Styles in WWE at this point. At some point 5-10 years ago sure, but now there's no potential there it would be a brief unfulfilling situation.

And if anyone knows about a brief unfulfilling situation, it's this guy. :D

I'm sorry, I'm just dicking around. :P

Anyway, I actually think Styles would be great for the company. More people know who he is than they might expect, so he would get a big pop for appearing - if they have him debut in one of the big wrestling cities they'd mark the fuck out for him and get him off to a really hot start which will win the rest of the fans over too.

He can have stellar matches with so many of their roster right now. Styles against any of the Shield guys would be fantastic. You could have him wrestle guys like Orton and Ziggler and tear it up. He'd be putting on amazing Raw matches every week.

And to be honest, while he's not as young as he once was, he's still younger than a lot of guys they feature heavily. He's still in great condition. If they got him now, they could have him around for another 10 years. But if they're going to get him, it should be now, because his value will slowly go down over time.

I'd love to see him as a big Royal Rumble entrant. That'd be freaking awesome.

I rather them use the talent they already have then pilling on the signings there is so much potential with the current roster and they just need to use the guys right then using them for a few lame feuds and never see them again.

After going to another Dragon Gate UK show last night I want to confirm my Ricochet decision. The guy had an amazing match. Also, if they want a decent heel, I think Marty Schurll would fit in well. The man generates so much heat. However, they probably already have the British heel spot filled by Wade Barrett so perhaps there wouldn't be a place for him.

Another guy I was really impressed with was Uhaa Nation. I think he's got the look WWE would like. He is a big dude but can definitely go in the ring. Also, he was so over. He was about as over with this Dragon Gate crowd as Daniel Bryan is with the WWE crowd. If he could bring that kind of popularity into the WWE he would be huge.
