Daniel Bryan too, of course - but as he's centre of attention I guess I'll focus on Bray Wyatt who had somewhat of a breakout night in many respects. The opening match last night was amazing and was without doubt match of the night. Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan work so well together (granted Bryan works well with anyone) and they were allowed to wrestle for over 20 minutes which I thought was great. It was so nice to see two guys who have good chemistry and have a decent story behind them, get to go at it for an extended period of time and 20+ minutes is long for a title match let alone the opening match.
We haven't really seen much of Bray Wyatt in the ring since his debut to be honest because the majority of in-ring action concerning the Family has come from Harper and Rowan and when Bray himself has had matches he hasn't really done anything at all and so last night was the first 'real' match he's had and I have to say I was really impressed by him. Wyatt knows his character perfectly and has this really creepy dynamic whilst he's wrestling (that crab walk he does is beyond creepy) and he's really quite aggressive. Both men took some good bumps and for a split-second I thought Bray might have broken his knee when he took that spot on the steel-steps. They built momentum nicely and that Sister Abigail on the outside to the barrier looked brutal and I think, as much as I love Daniel Bryan, it was the right decision to have Wyatt win clean. If he'd have lost I'm not sure how we as a crowd could take him seriously.
The bigger shock in my eyes though was seeing The Wyatt Family reappear later in the night, costing John Cena the Title. I know the dirt sheets had rumoured that we might be seeing Bray Wyatt vs John Cena at Wrestlemania but I didn't really believe them - unless it happens at EC I'd say we have another lock for 'Mania and after last night I'm a little more optimistic. I think this feud will see Bray Wyatt cheered a lot and I'm really looking forward to his promo work. Wyatt often talks about how he wants to 'bring down the machine' and nobody is a bigger embodiment of the machine than John Cena.
I never really know how to end these threads so yeah, props to Bray Wyatt for his role in the only match that justified me paying for last night's PPV
