This could be the game that actually tempts me to buy a current gen console. There have been some games I've been interested in so far, but not many, and none of them would drive me to buy a new console for the sole purpose of trying them out. But a new Red Dead could do it. Between that and Dishonored 2, we could be onto something.

Rumour or not, it's hardly surprising that they would be working on a new Red Dead after the tremendous success of Redemption. Do we see it as soon as next year? I don't know. What I would hope is that there isn't a 19 month gap between the initial release and the PC release like with GTA V (Or indeed Red Dead Redemption which never made its way over at all. If there's any truth to the remaster Tim mentioned I'd certainly hope they send that our way too).
