Image issues when transferring from Iphone/Ipad to desktop PC

I'm not a regular Iphone user but using it for work at the moment for social media.

I'd taken some pictures so decided to transfer to my PC to have it saved on there. I used the USB cable and transferred fine. However, unplugged the cable, opened the picture and half of the picture is greyed out? Same issue happened when transferring images from an Ipad as well.

Help please!
