They made some big spiel about how they're sorry for all the bullshit lately, and that their new slogan is "Mobile First," but that doesn't mean consoles aren't important to them, and other bullshit. They literally said something along the lines of "Our slogan might be 'Mobile First,' but that doesn't mean we are prioritizing mobile games over console gaming." I mean.. what? o_O YOUR SLOGAN IS FUCKING "MOBILE FIRST"! :facepalm

Basically, they're lying sacks of shit.

Ugh, I don't see why they wouldn't bow out of consoles at this point, they've killed everything that people like them for. I thoroughly doubt that they'll put out anything to interest me after The Phantom Pain.

They've basically fired the creator and lead designer of Metal Gear Solid, Hideo Kojima. After the next game comes out, he's gone. This basically means that one of the most loved gaming franchises is dead, as Kojima is synonymous with the games and his influence on them is massive.

Kojima was also involved in a very exciting project known as Silent Hills, working together with Guillermo Del Toro. Everything pointed toward this game being fantastic, the preview game P.T. that they released last year was genuinely brilliant. A lot of people were salivating at the prospect of getting to play it, especially after P.T. With Kojima being fired, this game is also doomed.

This isn't a one-off incident either, the long-time producer of the Castlevania series, Koji Igarashi, was alienated and left to make his own company last year. Commenting on this situation he claimed that Konami has a way of "bullying" their employees and it appears that even some of the most respected developers in the world aren't immune.

They've made jokes of almost all of their loved IPs, are pushing away a boatload of creative talent and have put out a lot of shit in the last few years. Pretty much all that they have I care about now is Metal Gear, and after September that will be done as well.
