What are some of your favorite lesser known games?

For some reason I was thinking about some of my favorite PS1 games from my childhood recently and a couple came to mind that nobody else ever knows about when I bring them up.

One is Guardian's Crusade, a great adventure/RPG game that I played through probably five or six times. Another was Gex: Enter the Gecko, featuring a funny little lizard who has a bunch of silly adventures.

What are some of your favorite games that aren't as well known?

I don't really know how well known games are, I spend most of my time in circles of people with broad gaming knowledge so I rarely come across a game that people don't know about.

I feel like Medieval was really looked over before it became this "must have" game MANY years later.

Gex is a good one. Legend of Dragoon, I was the only one at my school to play it.

Fuck yes. That game was like 4 or 6 discs long and thoroughly enjoyable.

My favourite game of all time is Shadow of the Colossus. It was relatively less popular when it first came out among people my age but it's become a more popular game now because it was the focus of a long running debate "Are video games considered art?".

Age of Mythology was a really good strategy game. Red Alert 2 was the first serious game I played and I liked it a lot.

The Godfather 1 & 2 are both great games.
