Where do you get your games?

This is the place for gamers to talk about what they're playing, as well as for discussions about the latest tech and gadgets.

Where do you get your games?

Postby Everlong » Feb 20, '15, 4:53 pm

If I'm buying console games I usually order from Amazon these days, unless I"m in a real hurry to pick it up, then I'll just stop at the Target right down the street from me.

I'm asking because I saw Messiah complaining about GameStop in the chatbox, and was wondering who else is giving them their hard-earned money despite them being by all accounts an awful company :P

When a console game takes my fancy, anything physical I'll usually get from Amazon or otherwise I'll use their digital marketplace. Otherwise for most of my games it's usually gog or Steam.

Jb hifi or dick smith if they have the game since it's about $30 cheaper than EB Games.

EB games otherwise unless I'm in the US then its wherever is nearest since they're all 50% cheaper.

Amazon, Ebay, Best Buy, or Wal-Mart, whichever has the better sale. I barely buy video games anymore though. Gamestop is the devil incarnate.

I buy my games from Amazon or EB Games, if I don't mind waiting a day or two I will order it online but if I want to play it right away I would go to EB Games since it not that far from my house.

Amazon or Steam. I'm cheap and I feel like Gamestop is a ripoff. I basically never buy games unless they're on sale by a decent amount.

I'd have to add JJGames.com to the list. Its a awesome site where you see exactly what you're getting. Nice prices too!

Usually I go to a local store that has three locations. But my last game came from my dad who bought it for himself and didn't like it.
