Re: Vince McMahon steps down!!!

The stepping down seems a public relations move as he's still in charge of creative and happy enough to appear on Smackdown (tbh he looks every bit the 76 year old and judging by how he sold the Stunner at Mania, best he's kept off screen) for a meaningless minute so he's not sweating it. It shows w...

Re: MJF God Tier Promo

Admittedly I haven't seen all of it besides snippets but from what I saw, it seemed a tad forced to be an authentic pipebomb (the line about paying ex-WWE guys an example of that) but the work seems to be doing its job. I can't see him at the WWE so would think he'll re-sign eventually.

Re: Seven years

What's this Discord business about, it's a new one for me. I have to say, I was reading excerpts of WCSF online and reminded of how exciting it was to be part of that and struggling away on my dial up Internet to read shows. Neat having a character holding a title but the big one eluded 'ol Delroy A...

Re: AEW Discussion

I dip into this place when I'm procrastinating from things in life so for AEW, always into hearing how Punk is doing which by all accounts is very well with a title shot looming. He prefers being a heel so wonder when the honeymoon period from his return will wear off (perhaps when they've toured mo...

Re: Was Vince ribbing Austin?

Vince looks rough, leaner and the heavy bagged eyes, the creaky voice. He needs to call it a day being on screen but sounds like he's pushing Theory into major feuds (with Cena) as a mouthpiece

Re: Wrestlemania this weekend

It's a shame Reigns and Lesnar were injured during the match as my first thought was "Reigns is going to win the biggest match of his career and he's injured again" But it seems judging by his on screen involvement he's managing the shoulder problem (as he doesn't seem to wrestle much thes...

Re: Wrestlemania this weekend

On the main event and the biggest match of all time, I've been watching snippets but please Reigns has to win. They've built him up to the best he can be as a gimmick so to ruin it - and lose some shine from a potential Mania match with Rock next year? - would be abysmal yet true to Vince's appeasi...

Re: Wrestlemania this weekend

I was really hoping Austin would not return for a match so pleased he's returning for a segment and not doing some cheap stuff such as a 30 second match with a Stunner as Rock did three or four years ago. WWE must have really been desperate to drum sales with Austin on the card in his hometown to bu...

Re: In first interview since cardiac event, Triple H says he'll never wrestle again

It sounds like - from what he said - that he was on the road to calling it a day from his in-ring career (quite neat his last two opponents turned out to be the two guys he helped mould in Batista and Orton) so he seemed quite content he was being forced into that decision. For a dude built like him...

"Bad times don't last but bad guys do" - RIP Scott Hall

I can't say I watched him at his peak, only in his 2002 nWo run where he was part of some fun segments and he sold the Stunner amazingly well. Not known much of his background (how much was the Razor Ramon gimmick authentic for him?) or how disruptive he was in the Clique but he seemed to have turne...

Re: Sharmell will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. What is the most iconic Sharmell moment?

I will definitely remember for the Paul Heyman-esque announcement of the arrival of King Booker!

Vince McMahon interview with Pat McAfee

Firstly, who is Pat McAfee as he's gotten Lesnar on his show and Austin last year. I think he's a colour commentator on SD! But no idea what his background is. Anyway, this interview with Vince is very PR savvy as the WWE owner says all the right things ("giving the fans what they want; "r...

Yeah it was a ballsy tagline for the Backlash match (was it really though?)

Ariel Helwani meets Randy Orton

I catch the odd interview with notable or past WWE folk and I caught this one by Ariel Helwani with Randy Orton and man, the Legend Killa is a far cry from the arrogant, smiled brat who used to crap in people's toiletry bags. It was surprising to see him acknowledge of his privilege coming into the ...

Re: Roman Reigns as a heel

I remember Punk saying in his podcast with Cabana in 2014 that Vince probably walked into production meetings asking: "What's next for Cena?" whereas now he probably says "What's next for Brock?" so is the ridiculous nature of the programs as you've described in terms of how he h...

Re: Roman Reigns as a heel

And after their recent matches, they had Lesnar win the WWE title, lose it (thanks to a Reigns interference), win it back in the Chamber to up a third Reigns match. Roman is a brilliant heel with Heyman and the Bloodline but please after all the opponents they have had to line up and the work he's d...

Re: prophet tries watching WWE again - the thread

From the snippets I've been catching up on it does seem the company is about Reigns, Lesnar and that's it? Randy seems to be doing something funny(?) with his younger tag partner on part-time dates but all I see is Brock, whose path for Mania seems to be going over everybody. Goldberg, with every lo...

Re: All 85 WWE releases in 2021

Yeah, one place you won't find much support and loyalty during a pandemic is WWE judging by the releases. Profits galore! There are many reasons for all 85 of them but interestingly, the recent ones seem to have been allies of Triple H who Vince has fired (Regal being one of them) whilst his son in ...

Re: #Rock25

WrestleMania is a little while away and I would guess Lesnar is booked in for Rumble so Reigns' WM opponent looks unclear. Valid point that Rock hasn't been on WWE television for a while so any potential Mania match would be coming from out of nowhere. Hence why a Survivor Series tease may have been...

Re: Roman Reigns as a heel

I see Reigns fired Heyman on Friday so intrigued if that is the character change he's needed but I felt, from the little I'd seen, that Heyman was a great mouthpiece for the Bloodline. They do seem to be trying to eek out Roman until WrestleMania but I presume Lesnar is taking on Reigns at the Rumbl...
