Re: David Cameron: "If you obey the law, we will leave you alone" is a "failed approach"

Not a surprise. Cons are full in power and don't have anyone, namely the Lib Dems, to hold them back. All of this is nonsense, talking about British values like they are these fixed ideals that we must adhere to. Plus the Human Rights Act they want to scrap - it's happy days.. It is a bit crazy, al...

Re: Cena is an awesome champion

He's definitely been great recently - it's the first time I've actively enjoyed him at all... I do still think his promos are too long, but everyone's are on Raw.

Re: Which games are you unbeatable at?

I challenge you all! Everyone vs me at Romance of the Three kingdoms. Has anyone played this? No one? Ok I'll leave now. :( My older brother used to play that all the time! He's big into that particular niche genre. It looked pretty interesting. I only got into AoE: Conquerers, myself - and even th...

No? I thought it was relatively big when it came out.

Re: Can Blockbusters Still Create Tension?

Yup, they tend toward being only mildly interesting - and I really don't need all that time to think about how much popcorn I'm eating.

The most enjoyable action flicks I've seen in the last few years have been smaller ones - Dredd, John Wick, etc.

Re: Does anyone here use Google+?

Nope, although I was a one point - it was a great place to get my photography fix (I like the pretties, what of it?)

There was a really active community for that, and I'd imagine there is for quite a few things. So, I'd say if your interests fit with some of the more active sections, you're in luck!

Re: Rate the last film that you've watched

I saw Girlhood last night with Hanley! - don't let the name fool you; it's not trying to be Boyhood in any way. The title is kind of a pun, actually; it's about a teenage girl (Marieme/Vic) who becomes a hoodlum of sorts, it's a coming of age story, and it's kind of about sisterhood. It's a french f...

Re: Bret Hart aside, who is the best wrestler to hail from Canada?

I was gonna say that I'd give it to Edge at the moment, but that El Generico/Zayn could knock him from that perch in the future, and then I remembered...

BOBBY ROODE!

Seriously, he's fucking excellent, and WWE are crazypants for not trying to pick him up. He's definitely my favourite.

Re: Your current top 5 Divas? (main roster)

I like to contribute to this thread, but the hard truth is that there's now only 3 women in the division that I'd tune into a match for - Natalya, Paige, and Nikki. And Nikki's got an annoying Brie-barnacle most of the time. I don't care for the roster as a whole, and half the time they even book th...

Re: Dating thread

Snap judgement says - * Good for casual (you see her away from the kids, it's chill/fun time for you both, etc.) * Potential crazy mess for anything else! She's got a lot going on, and it seems like you'd probably end up being in deep pretty quickly - meeting kids, getting cursed out by the ex, poss...

Re: Hideo Itami out 6-8 months

I'm definitely with Steve on this - I hope the company reconsiders their direction with him. Given his fanbase and reputation, I have to assume he really is better than they're allowing him to appear - his moveset in NXT seems limited.

I hope he gets healthy without incident too!

Re: Rate the last film that you've watched

Hanley! and I saw The Falling on the weekend. It's a weird little British indie piece, set in the 60s and starring Maisie Williams (Arya from GoT). It begins, focusing on an intense friendship between the main character (a prickly rationalist) and her best friend (a soulful, charismatic beauty), an...

I really enjoyed the little backstage segments with Banks/Lynch and Owens' interview. They were fun, they broke things up n...
