Re: Your favourite finisher?

So I feel like the perfect finisher needs a few elements. The first is the ability to easily build to it in big matches where you can make the anticipation for it reach a fever pitch. At other times it should be a shocking and quick hitting move that can surprise the audience. Next there has to be a...

Re: Undertaker's WrestleMania streak - who should have ended it?

So I'll echo a lot of what was said. Orton would have been the best option from a performer, character, longevity standpoint, but also Orton was the first match that they actually made a big deal about specifically the undefeated streak. From a booking standpoint, it would not have made a lot of sen...

Re: Revisiting History Survivor Series

Survivor Series was brilliant when they had actual stakes other than ‘brand supremacy’. Remember the year RAW won and each team member got to run RAW for a week? Big up Maven giving himself a title shot. Yeah, that's basically what I was discussing when looking at that Survivor Series. If you give ...

Re: Revisiting History Survivor Series

I completely forgot there was ever an Angle/Goldberg match. The fact that they had Angle go over Goldberg was huge. IIRC the 2003 event was the first time in a few years they'd had the classic Survivor Series style matches? Or maybe I'm misremembering. Always was a fan of Survivor Series as a conce...

Re: Undertaker *officially* retiring?

Yeah, I think he's going to pretty much retire, the Boneyard Match vs AJ gave him the type of sendoff he's been wanting, so, he seems really content. It's pro wrestling, so we might see him come back in some capacity a few years down the road, but I doubt he ever has a full match again.

Re: Revisiting History Survivor Series

SURVIVOR SERIES 2003 We kick off this year's Survivor Series with a breakdown of the concept of brand rivalry and the way that Bischoff and McMahon are rewarding each member of the roster for their roles. Intercontinental vs United State Championship Match -- Rob Van Dam vs Big Show They show a vid...

Revisiting History Survivor Series

So, I've got an itch to talk some wrestling, in particular do some fantasy booking and with Survivor Series coming up, I feel like its the perfect time. I know most or all people around here (or used to be around here) gave up on WWE a while ago, and they do plenty wrong. However, I feel like one th...

Re: AEW Discussion

I love a lot of what AEW does, they've got a wealth of talent that puts on a great show every week. Their men's division in particular does a great job and overall they do a great job of making the big moments feel so damn important and allow you to invest in the stories in a great way. A lot of tha...

Re: Trump v Biden

Biden isn't great, but he can do one thing that Trump winning could never do. He can restore some semblance of normalcy to this country. I would take a career politician with a sense of morality over the corrupt/racist monster that Trump is. America's version of normalcy resulted in Trump though. I...

Re: How do you find working from home?

The nature of my work doesn't really allow me to do much work from home. This spring was really long and trying, but finally getting back to a sense of normalcy. Hopefully that remains to some degree.

Re: Joe Biden is the 46th President of the United States of America

I actually cried a few times over the weekend. Not sure if they were tears of joy or simply tears of relief that the last four years were finally over, but I've never had a reaction to something like this. I think it made me realize, just how much this all actually affected me.

Rick Steiner's son Bronson signs with NFL team

Following the NFL draft this past weekend the Baltimore Ravens signed Rick Steiner's son Bronson Rechsteiner to an undrafted rookie contract. Rechsteiner was a fullback for Kennesaw State University and will now try to make the 53 man roster in training camp later this summer. https://www.wrestlingi...

WWE up for sale?

So according to Dutch Mantell (Zeb Coulter), Vince is shopping or at least exploring options to sell the entire WWE company. ESPN (Disney) and Fox are considered to be top contenders if the WWE actually gets sold. Never thought we'd see a day like this, but here we are in the middle of a global pand...

Re: My review of Wrestlemania

I'd easily take this WrestleMania over the 35, 34, 33, and 32. I'd agree about 34, 33 and 32, but WM 35 was lowkey much better than most people give it credit for. I'm not saying I totally hated 36, I found it more entertaining than a wrestling show without fans probably should be on its face value...

Re: My review of Wrestlemania

Night 2 didn't really live up to the precedent set by Night 1 in my opinion. The wrestlers tried hard and the booking itself was pretty solid too, but there was just less draw for the second night to me and things fell more flat. The night started with Charlotte winning the NXT Women's championship ...

My review of Wrestlemania

So I figured I'd talk about WrestleMania on here in case anyone is looking around and wondering about this year's show. First off, this is definitely an odd and unique experience, some of which was good/great and a lot of it was weird and disappointing. The biggest takeaway is that two-night Wrestle...

Re: WrestleMania moved to Performance Center

Is it free on BT Sport channels? Surely it will be if it's free for all? My Sky Planner is not working so can't check for myself on plans for later in the week. And over two days as well? I think it'll be fun viewing, maybe not so much for Drew who I hear was doing well but whether he'd have beaten...
