Re: Are you more of an introvert or extrovert?

In my home life, Introvert definitely. I don't bore easily and can get along fine without people around for long periods of time. Never happens anymore, I have a lot of friends that live in the neighborhood and there are constant pop-ins. As far as my art goes, I'm an extrovert. You can't get anyth...

Are you more of an introvert or extrovert?

I'm more of an introvert. When I was younger, it was the polar opposite, although as I got older, I sort of became a bit more reclusive in nature. And by reclusive, not isolated, but made myself more distant from large social events and focused on the more moderate and quiet things.

What do you do that is creative?

I use to write poetry although haven't written a poem in well over five months now. I can't draw and fictional writing really hasn't been my thing. I love to make films although that is certainly time-consuming and requires a lot of focus.

How about you?

Re: What do you do for a living?

Just studying at the moment, which is excessive and challenging but nonetheless interesting. I saved up quite a lot of money from working throughout all of last year, so, at this moment in time, money isn't exactly a burder on my shoulders.

Anybody been watching many horror films this month?

I haven't had the time to watch many films at all, but I do have season one of Tales from the Darkside on my table ready for a viewing. Other than that, no horror films, unfortunately. I do plan to watch some more if time suits me by Halloween.

How about you?

Re: Best movie you've seen in the theater?

Toy Story 3 or The Tree of Life. I'm more inclined to sit with the former, though, since Malick's film failed to really follow up on a rewatch.

Re: South Park appreciation thread

They have a large handful of fantastic episodes, and when on song, can rival golden-era Simpsons in terms of writing and satire.

Re: Rate the last film that you've watched

Yep, My Dinner with Andre is a masterpiece and one of my favourite films. I was just enthralled from beginning until end. Impeccably written and raises so many interesting questions about who we are and what our purpose is. A lot of films tackle these large subjects but not in the same light as Mall...

Films about loneliness?

I think Drive fits the criteria here, as does Eastwood's Hereafter. Any other good films about introversion, loneliness or isolation?

Re: What movies considered masterpieces disappointed you?

Definitely Apocalypse Now. Seen both the redux and theatrical cuts, and I have never really understood its hype, despite purely from a technical standpoint.

Re: The hunt for NoDQ

Wow, I feel so special. Thanks for letting me know about this forum, guys. I don't have a Facebook account, by the way, since I deactivated many months ago, but that is certainly my poetry collection which I really need to work on again. EDIT: And damn, I forgot about my Google account. That photo i...

I'm NoDQ. Still have no idea how you guys managed to find me. I naturally assumed there was no alternative forum and people just sort of went their separate ways. Great news this is!
