Re: Glitter, Glitz, Sparkle, Bliss

She's definitely entertaining at the moment, and shows promise to become something more. One to watch.

Re: Commentary on NXT this week

I noticed nothing but the absence of Albert. I frequently tune the commentators out when he's not one of the two. The others' voices sound really alike to me, and it's pretty confusing when there's back-and-forth.

Re: When people won't say why they're hospitalized..

Why are we making the assumption that they'd care what others think about their medical circumstances while they're being treated for something unexpected, or just life disrupting? If I was unexpectedly hospitalised, I'd doubt I have the time to be giving a fuck about the curiosity of my acquaintanc...

Re: Now that Sting is in WWE, who is the greatest wrestler to never compete on a major WWE show?

It's gotta be Styles for me - my knowledge of historical, and non-Western wrestlers being small, and my love of the drop-kick being great.

Re: NOW what is your level of anticipation for WrestleMania?

I gave it a 3, just cause there's some matches with people I like in them... that may have actually been too high. What a sad thing.

Re: Squared Circle PPV of the Week #14

Hey, I saw this! :D X-Division Championship Match This was a fantastic start to the PPV. A very fast-paced match, it showcased what the X-Division was all about - quick, precise, dynamic wrestling. That'll get your blood up! I've only seen Homicide a few times, when history-shopping, and I'm pretty ...

Re: Do You Still Watch Raw?

Not since I was a teenager. I've given it periodic chances since I got back into wrestling over the last few years, but it's never been a quality show. At the moment, it's NXT all the way, although I'd consider adding another show also. It'd just have to be a good one. I strongly recommend giving L...

Re: Where is Bubba?

Sad times. :(

At least there was a good thing that happened at the Rumble. I think Bubba and DDP were the only things I properly enjoyed about the Rumble (the match itself, I mean).

Re: Bill DeMott says he is neither racist nor homophobic, thank you very much

Not being though of as racist/homophobic is a privilege you give up when you use racist/homophobic slurs. Is it really that big of a surprise to him that people heard him using bigoted language, and then assumed that he was a bigot? If so, he has another problem as well - he's a fucking idiot. Unfo...

Re: Where is Bubba?

I was really hoping they'd use him as an upper midcard heel. He showed a lot of promise as Bully Ray, I think he could do some good stuff in WWE. In fairness to the man, he didn't so much "show promise", as "be fantastic". He'd be a great addition to the WWE roster, even if just...

Re: Poland/Norway preparing for War?

Sorry man, I rarely do news on the weekend - I have to read it as part of my job during the week, even if it is literally making me feel sick. The break is welcome.

Re: What is the biggest instance of culture shock you've ever experienced?

Honestly, it was probably in the Gaeltacht, in Ireland. As a kid, I definitely didn't feel ok with the idea of everyone talking in Irish only. Luckily, none of the rest of the group did either. :P Sure, weren't we all only there for the shift! As an adult, I've been fine with all the travel I've don...

Re: What are your most-used TV/movie quotes?

Kirbi uses only the finest, most obscure references to make sure that nobody she's talking to will understand them. Some of the more frequently used come from the old X-Men cartoon ( "I shall meet you at the monorail!" ) or Bruno the Kid ( "You're the one who's a purple kangaroo; and...

I got nothing. As a side-note, I can't believe I have to see that movie again. :(

Re: What were some of the biggest scandals to happen in your school growing up?

We were gonna merge with the boys school. Then we totally didn't.

(Almost 2 decades later, this is still occasionally rumoured.)

The drama!

Re: What are your most-used TV/movie quotes?

All of them. Yes from movies and shows, but also from other media (plays, books, video games, songs, etc), and from random in-jokes. I also tend to forget that not everyone will get each reference. As a con, they do lose some of their lustre when over-explained. I get more of the conversational nuan...
