John Cena announces 2025 as The Last Time Is Now

John Cena has told us there will be a definite time when we won't be able to see him in WWE. That will be on January 1st 2026 as his retirement tour begins a year earlier on 1st January 2025. I assume he's reducing his Hollywood work to do this which is props to him and I think it could be a great e...

Re: WWE is the best it ever has been

I only watch YouTube clips and listen to a podcast (Gorilla Position if you're interested) and I'm enjoying catching up with everything. In TiT (Trust in Trips), you can be assured things will make sense. Also, I like the Otis Gable slow turn which has dipped over the last few weeks but that was get...

Re: The Bloodline Storyline

Yeah and to think WWE would have gone with Seth vs. Punk whereas Drew made the feud happen and it's been outstanding. I would be shocked if there's not a HIAC match at the returning Bad Blood in October (other than to protect an aging Punk).

Re: Who turns on who: Rock or Roman?

I don't think a turn is happening soon unless there's something happens on RAW to write either Rock or Roman out as both men will disappear for various reasons. Not sure what Roman's story arc is next but Triple H has given a huge hype for it. Perhaps Survivor Series is where something major will ha...

Re: WrestleMania 40: Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes - Who wins?

TiT Trust in Trips. He really delivered on a main event that many people a few months ago wouldn't have envisioned. Like many others, it seemed the outcome revolved around someone (Rock/Seth) turning on one of the participants yet that never came close to happening and old faces appeared to help Cod...

Who turns on who: Rock or Roman?

I thought it was fairly obvious Rock was going to turn on Roman but just the way the former has been going all out in his heel run, it seems odd to "do a Big Show" and turn him face again quickly. An idea could be Rock inadvertently costs Roman the title, everything seems clear between the...

Re: What are your favorite PCW and WCSF moments?

ALSO: Dynamite's title win. VERY early WCSF, but it was the first big babyface moment we had and there were a lot of old-school writers who just weren't getting as "over" with our readers at the time. Chris Cameron was one of our first "legendary" characters, but he was just kin...

Re: The Bloodline Storyline

Austin getting involved would be too much imo although he might do a segment or interaction with Punk to tease a future "dream" match. Yeah, it does feel this is all moving too quickly for a Rock turn on Roman but I don't see how - other than a Seth turn - Roman loses the titles. Perhaps i...

Re: WrestleMania 40: Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes - Who wins?

WrestleMania 20, 30 finished on a heartwarming finish so it would make sense to continue that here with Cody. But with so much uncertainty that has been created, it could go either way. I really think they want to make Reigns title hold as legendary as possible, to try and beat Hogan's record, and t...

Re: Nostalgia for the old web

I never thought about the wider implications social sites had on these humble places of discussion but it makes me think to another forum I used to frequent regularly. This was around 2005 when I started to post as it was a student forum to research and ask questions about prospective universities. ...

WrestleMania 40: Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes - Who wins?

So after WM39, it seems the next year was all about building a rematch for the following year until... The Rock returned! Whether it was a pivot or all planned, the rematch is locked in. Reigns retained at 39 thanks to the interference from Solo Sikoa and whilst Roman went through more challengers f...

Re: The Bloodline Storyline

I don't think this existing storyline was all planned but more so they were testing the waters to see how a Rock-Reigns match would be accepted by the fans, which it was in the arena at first but online, of course, there was outrage. But they muddied the waters when Cody made it clear he wanted ever...

It's nice the company are financially supporting his family after his sad death but yes, a total shock when I saw it on the timeline.

Re: CM PUNK IS BACK

I really didn't think hell would freeze over as Punk had been adamant that he would need an apology from Vince (and Triple H?), but with Vince exiting, everything aligned for him to return at Survivor Series. Personally, I like Phil Brooks when he left WWE and went ahead to have a try at UFC, where ...

Re: I started watching wrestling again.

I don't watch it full time but have kept abreast of the on-goings in the WWE through Twitter and YouTube. I was absolutely engrossed during the Sami vs Bloodline storyline and the ultimate pay off (the crowd reaction at the Royal Rumble when Sami hit Roman with the chair) was amazing even though the...

Re: How do you find working from home?

Four years on, it's interesting to read my posts on home working and realising I think completely different now. Hybrid working is a nice blend especially if you have to travel far for work and being at home can be useful. However in the last few years, I found the distractions (TV, appointments, ki...

Re: You old now

I've greyed but like to think it's an appealing quality (silver fox and all that) but not so appealing is the tyre around my waist. Too much junk food and takeout but got to treat yourself. Welcome back Chewy , never thought all those years ago there would come a time when Liverpool would be more pr...

Re: Ric Flair's last match will be on July 31st, 2022

Unsurprisingly he passed out few times in the match and shock horror he's suggesting it might not have been his last match after all..
